Lemon Cheesecake Bars These were okay. I made them for a picnic, and I almost didn't bring them because I thought they tasted so bad. The problem came with the bottom part of the bar. It tasted exactly like what it was...concentrated lemon cake mix with extra fat added. It had a sortof chalky or metallic taste to it. I think the bars would be better if the cake was made on its own and then you added the other two layers. However bad I thought the bars were, the guests at the picnic said they were great and I only had 2 left at the end of the day. Go figure...maybe they were just being polite?
