I made this recipe for years out of the old Betty Crocker cookbook. (circa 1960). I made it with left over ham chicken or pork. Do not recall that I breaded the meat and liked it better that way. It also called for onions instead of carrots. Now I just shake the pork in some cornstarch and cook it up. If already cooked I don't bother. I lost my old cookbook and have been looking for another.
