"lim zest is the outside green part of a fresh lime. lightly rub the lime over a zester or small holes of a grater. you want only the green not the white part underneath."

"here's a recipe for baking/biscuit mix. from an old make your own groceries cookbook i got from my mother.... 8 3/4 cups flour; 1/3 cup baking powder; 1/4 cup sugar; 1 T. salt; 2 cups vegetable shortening. sift together first 4 ingredients, cut in shortening"
