Pizza Casserole
"Super yummy! We tweaked a little since we have a bunch of grass-fed beef in the house so we used 1 lb. of that spiced with Italian seasoning instead of the 1/2 lb. of turkey sausage. This extended it to definitely 8 services. We used subbed co-jack cheese for the mozzarella since that's what was on hand. We also reconstituted some dried mushrooms instead of using canned since, again, that's what we had in the house. The whole family loved it!"

Chocolate-Strawberry Shortcakes
"These were very good and easy. It was a nice spin on the traditional shortcake. I didn't have mini chocolate chips, but regular ones seemed to work just fine."

Hot Chocolate Cupcakes
Rating:
I made these for watching the Olympics with my neighbors. Then brought the left-overs as a snack after xc skiing with friends. They were a HUGE hit. Very cute and yummy, too. I also added 1 tsp of cinnamon to the mix.

Chocolate-Orange Punch Bowl Cake
Rating:
This was a big hit at our block party. Very pretty, too. I was amazed at how just adding orange zest to vanilla pudding can really make it a fresh & special flavor. Yum!

Havarti Cheese Ball
Rating:
This was quite a crowd-pleaser. I ended up substituing a farmer's cheese for the Harvarti (couldn't find Harvarti) and I used fresh herbs. Very tasty and very fun.

Alfajores (Dulce de Leche Sandwich Crème Cookies)
Rating:
I made these last night as part of our holiday cookie baking and they are fabulous! Really easy, too, considering how pretty and yummy they are. We did go through the entire can of Dulche de Leche and need to pick some more up today in order to finish our cookies. I'd suggest buying to cans because you really need the 2 tsp of filling for each cookie.
