"I measure success by how many people want the recipe after they have tried my baked goods. Oh yeah, I was mugged at a party I brought these to for the recipe! Super yummy and light. Perfect blend of chocolate and peanut butter. Everyone will scoff these down if you bake them - yeah!"

"These were a huge hit! My co-workers scoffed these puppies down! Not too sweet, I used Giradelli dark chocolate chips. Hard to find the instant expresso, but finally found a small container. All three layers stay together (I have had trouble with other recipes here where the layers all fall off when cut). Only draw back is it does take time - so be prepared! Very yummy though and really worth the time."

"These are wonderful, especially if you love almonds! I did not use Almond extract, the (pricey!) Almond Paste was plenty of almond flavoring. A must for your holiday christmas cookie basket, if you can afford the Almond Paste! EEeekkkk!"

"Wonderful cake. Okay to over cook the cake because the filling really moistens the cake. I double the receipe for the filling because there really isn't enough filling. Besides, it leaves a little extra in the bowl for bowl-licking!"

Fabulous cake. I doubled the filling receipe and had no problem with the brown sugar and butter - you must follow the directions, if you cook the butter and brown sugar too long it will be too hard. Double the filling receipe - it really made the cake better (although a little harder to frost). Takes a while to bake this cake, so plan ahead, I usually make this the night before. You will be the talk of the town when you serve this delicious cake to your guests - totally a crowd pleaser!
