Gluten Free Italian Beef with Mashed Potatoes I didn't have crushed red pepper, so I crumbled a jalapeno from our garden. As I am dairy free, I opted for white rice instead of potatoes. It turned out sooooo awesome! My fiance and I raved about it after every bite -- not something that usually happens when we try new recipes! We both agreed that the potatoes would not have been nearly as good, so 4 stars as written but 5 stars with white rice instead!
