Hot Turkey and Gravy Open-Faced Sandwiches
"been making this for years but if you don't like soggy bread then toast the bread, I also like some frozen peas added to this recipe. I do cook a 1/2 cup of frozen peas to add to the gravy if there is enough. Homemade gravy works so good!"

Salsa Chicken and Rice Casserole
"We had a couple over for dinner last night. I used boneless and skinless chicken breast (meaty ones at that). I used a package Enchilada sauce mix which left me 2 oz. short from the 10 oz. required. I used Uncle Ben's rice. We had a salad with it. Next time I will have corn on the side. I did not have a choice with the less sodium in the soup and bean areas (too bad). Would make this again."

Slow Cooker Three-Bean Beer Pot
"We loved this dish, easy and we have leftovers. I added Guinness beer also and I used Budweiser BB-Q sauce. A lovely smell was added to the house while it simmered. Hubby said it's a keeper!!! I may consider bringing this for a potluck too sometime later on in the year. "

Spiced Pumpkin Cupcakes
"I made these on Jan. 30th. I am not sure why it is called Spiced Pumpkin Cupcakes as I didn't find much of a spice to them, maybe next time I will add a tad more pumpkin pie spice or how about a Spiced Cake mix. I made up my own cream cheese filling for them and sprinkled some of the cupcakes with the nut & sugar combo and some without as not everyone likes nuts. I would make them again they were good."

Cranberry-Apple-Nut Bread
"This is a delicious bread. I just made it on the 21st of December. I read previous reviews first hand. Chopped the apple instead of grating it, used less sugar (2/3 cup),less oil (14 cup)and used 1/2 cup of apple sauce, 1/2 cup of walnuts and I did up the 8 mini loaves as a previous baker suggested.....everything worked out wonderful. A bread is usually heavier o don't worry about how thick it is, I wouldn't suggest watering it down. I gave 4 of the mini loaves to our local newspaper guy for his Christmas present along with some other baked goods & hubby & I just had two mini loaves for our breakie with coffee. A keeper!!!"

Slow Cooker Brown Lentil Soup
Rating:
I recently made this wonderful soup for hubby & me. I have some of it in the freezer at the moment. We enjoyed it will make it again but this time around will add one more carrot and two stalks of celery. I did cook it longer & we had it the next day. The consistency of the soup was right on not too thick at all, didn't need to any any more liquids even when reheating it the next day. Great for the cold days.

Chicken Carbonara Deluxe
Rating:
have made this dish a couple of times with it the original recipe, adding mushrooms fried in butter to it once and it is a keeper! I can't see why you can't add some chopped up/diced veggies to the beginning process or add it to the boiling water when doing up the spaghetti, will try this next time around. I find that I need to add more than what they require for the whipped cream/heavy cream and the cheese is a preference if you want to add more or not, as I find it to be enough. very rich dinner/lunch.

Hamburger Stroganoff Casserole
Rating:
Hubby & I both really enjoyed this recipe and this man was not a stroganoff lover by any means. I didn't have a problem with it being dry nor did I need to add any salt. I added fresh & canned mushrooms. Used Tex-Mex shredded cheese. I will definitely consider this recipe again.
