"This was good ... with very mild tweaking could be a great comfort-food recipe. Made this two nights ago, nearly as written. I subbed steamed broccoli for the mixed steamed veggies, because we love broccoli and that's what I had, and I added fresh finely diced onion and a bit of celery in lieu of onion salt. Otherwise it was as written. Overall it was tasty and well received. I felt that, while it wasn't dry, it could have been improved by more sauce ... I might use two cans of soup next time, or at least one and a half. And it is, as expected, a VERY mild dish -- that's what I was going for, but I might try jazzing it up with some additional seasonings in the future. It took a good bit more than 20 minutes of prep for me ... though chopping the veggies I added was part of that. But just cooking and draining the pasta took a while. From "enter the kitchen" to "in the oven" was more like 35 or 40 minutes for me ... not horribly long by not desperately quick, either. To be fair, my kitchen is small and a bit awkward -- your mileage may vary. The family loved the crispy panko topping ... don't skip that! Otherwise, this is a great starter recipe with room for tons of variation -- it would be hard to go wrong with any common-sense customization you might try. "
