Raspberry-Laced Vanilla Cake
My family loved this cake. I only used 1/4 C Liqueur Framboise in my frosting & 1/4 C milk because I was afraid 1/2 C liqueur would be too strong; I was happy with the results. I also stirred about 1T of the seedless raspberry jam into the remaining approx. 1/2C frosting to write Happy Brithday. The color matched the filling better than if I had used food coloring & created an interesting glitter effect on the writing and the piping I put around the cake. have made this cake 3 times and always get raves on appearance and flavor.
