"I use the recipe I first found on BisQuik box back in the late 80's, with only 3 ingredients: 1 lb hot sausage, 1 lb shredded cheese, 2 cups Bisquik. Just keep squeezing ingredients together in a BIG bowl until it all sticks together like bread dough would. Then pinch off little amounts, roll into a ball about 1 inch, bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes in a jelly roll pan, then drain on several layers of paper towels. Perfect every time, never doughy or bland, and always an outstanding hit, whether as appetizers at parties or as nibble food when we have a houseful of holiday company! I vary the cheese between mild cheddar, sharp or extra sharp. That does make a difference in the taste."
