"I decided to try this using fresh apples and adding a bit of cinnamon. For those that think that it comes out gooey or runny, I suggest you put several layers of paper towels on top of the crock then lid it. This prevents moisture from the lid dripping down into the cobbler. 3 hours later, yummy! The apples were cooked all the way through. Serve with a little whipping cream or vanilla ice cream."

"I forgot to give it a few stars. hehe Also wanted to share that I substituted chicken broth for the beer. You can also use beef broth. "

"Tried this and the family enjoyed it very much. However there really is too much water called for in the recipe. Next time I will halve it. Also, the kielbasa lost it's flavor being boiled so I will try a spicier sausage next time."

I decided to try this using fresh apples and adding a bit of cinnamon.
