"This recipe got me rave reviews when I made it for my auxiliary group. The only thing to remember is to make sure your cake mix gets covered with the butter as you will have dry cake mix spots. I would suggest swirling some of the cake mix into the pumpkin mixture when you place the cake mix in the pan. This is a delicious recipe if you like pumpkin. I used spice cake mix... I didn't think it looked so good when it came out of the oven, so I frosted the cake with whipped cream, and sprinkled pumpkin spice over the top. It looked WONDERFUL. Will make again because it is a winner...."
