"I think the "star" flecks may be gel frosting, put on after cutting for effect. The blueberries are pureed, so probably don't show at all. I also thought it may be white sprinkles. I wonder if they'd just melt in during baking or actually show up? Haven't tried, but gave it 5 spoons for cuteness and ingenuity!"

"This is just as much work to make as oven kind, just that it cooks while you are gone instead of having to wait for an hour to bake after you get home! Nice for coming home to... I used 2- 26 oz cans (52 oz as opposed to 45 oz called for) of spaghetti sauce plus added about 1/2 cup water (from can sloshing). I only used 9 noodles in my oval crock. I also added mushrooms and 2 shredded zucchini to meat while sauteing. Cooked 1 hr on high, then about 4.5 hrs on low. Noodles were mushy, but like that better than too crunchy. Not sure if it was because of the extra liquid used or cooked too long. Overall, flavor was good, but next time I will have to remember the salt! Texture not bad if you don't mind mushy noodles. This made so much it was almost to the top of the crock! Looking forward to eating leftovers."
