"This cake was pretty good. It was very light tasting and tasted best with fresh strawberries. It reminded me of a shortcake. I did mix the batter for 5-6 minutes and used the suggested pudding mix, milk, and cool whip for the icing. Thanks for the tips. I was shocked when the cake soaked up the 3 milks within minutes since several other reviewers had problems with it not soaking in all the way. I will make this again for my kids to take to school for Cinco de Mayo. All in all it was OK."

"I knew I would have trouble with the bottom portion when I read the recipe. I tried it anyway and the bottom part was not a success at all. That is a whole LOT of cake mix for one stick of butter: it fell apart and the picture looks like it would come out like a dense cake. It didn't for me. The top part of the dessert was really good though. I don't think I will try it again though."
