"I loved this idea, but I didn't love the white face on the ladybug, so I did mine as small cakes with all red icing and oreos for black faces. Then I made two larger cakes with cupcake heads again in black icing. For those big ones I used black candles as the antenna. I also added a little grass around the base of each of them. My two year old loved these cute bugs and her eyes got really big when brought them out on the tray. to see my version click here...http://fromchapelhilltochickenville.blogspot.com/2008/01/at-least-im-getting-better-at-cake.html "

"This was a great cake for out lego birthday party. The kids thought it was so funny to eat legos! I used fondant icing even though I had never used it before. It was like working with playdough. The fondant gave the cake the brighter colors I was looking for. We had a whole themed party with Lego spoon races and everything."

"This was way easier than I expected. Making the doll fit into the cake was the hardest part. I had to pull her legs off to fit my cake. My little girl LOVED this so the work was all worth it."

"I made these cupcakes for a one year old's birthday party. I also made a small smash cake with a couple of flowers for decoration. I used brightly colored sugar for a more wow impact. I filled the center of the flower with a a little blog of colored icing. Two things to keep in mind: oil your scissors (which will need a good scrub afterwards) and press the flowers in while the icing is still wet so the marshmallow sticks."
