"Yum! I made the recipe as written except I used a whole jar of salsa (I hate leftovers!) and I used a mix of breast and thigh chicken. I added taco seasonings to the chicken as suggested, but wouldn't bother again - it really didn't add anything. I also cooked mine well over 7 hours and it wasn't dry at all. My family loved this and I will definitely make it again."

"Yum! Everyone went for seconds. Based on other reviewers' comments, I added a little garlic to the rice and it was a good thing. I also didn't have baby carrots so I used mixed vegetables. We liked it that way and I would do it again. Also, I added the Parm cheese suggested by others and it helped it tighten up nicely."

"Excellent recipe - just throw it in the crock pot in the morning and it's ready when you get home from work. Definitely needs a larger crock pot - mine almost wasn't big enough. To speed things up, you can substitute store-bought julienned ham. I added fresh ground black pepper and, near the end, a handful of grated cheddar cheese for more body."

"Very tasty! I would add a second jar of gravy next time as it needed more liquid to cook properly. It definitely feeds 6 as we had yummy leftovers for another full meal."

"Very easy to make, although I wasn't a big fan of handling the raw chicken that much. The pasta came out a little chewy even though I added a can of tomatoes, thinking that the extra liquid would help the pasta cook more. I will make this again, but will add more liquid and more spices. I had 2 shells left after I had stuffed in all the chicken so I made a quick mixture of cottage cheese (I didn't have any ricotta), shredded cheddar and Italian spices and stuffed them with that - I think it was even better than the chicken!"

Made this last night on the spur of the moment with whatever I had on hand, and just followed the recipe loosely. So it ended up being made with chicken tenders and three different kinds of beans: 1 can each kidney, pinto and BBQ with maple. Because of the maple I left out the brown sugar and it was perfect! I can't wait to make it again with the Polish Sausage.
