"This is basically how I always make mine, except I don't use the crouton topping which is just extra carbs. If I wanted a topping, I would just crush maybe 1/4 cup of croutons and sprinkle on top. The added milk keeps it moist and creamy without the usual extra can of soup and stick of butter."

"Very good and easy, but way too many noodles for the amount of cheeses. Next time would either cut down on noodles or increase cheeses. Used spaghetti sauce in place of tomato sauce and it worked real well. Could also use ground beef or turkey in place of Italian sausage, or a combination of both. Also good reheated, just added a little tomato juice to retain moisture."
