"I am a 35 year old refinery worker in southern Louisiana. I never cook anything. I made this cake for my wife's birthday on November 19, 2011 and everyone loved it. They all requested that I make it again the following week for Thanksgiving desert. I followed the directions and it was really simple. What I did was poured half of the cake mix into the pan and made a little channel in the middle with a spatula. I used a decorating bag to squirt the filling into the channel then covered it with the second half of the cake mix. it came out just like the picture. The other thing I did on the second cake was I used only 2 teaspoons of water in the glaze to make it a little thicker. I plan on trying other recipes in the future because this was pretty fun. My wife laughed at me and called me Mr. Betty Crocker, but she sure didn't stop eating my cake. "
