"I usually am expected to make apple pie for guests but this time I didn't want to have a lot left over so I made this crisp instead. Everyone seemed to like it a lot! I did peel the apples and served it with light whipped cream. Next time I will add some nuts to the topping. Sometime I will try it with blueberry/peach combination--and omit the nutmeg. I found this recipe in my old Betty Crocker cookbook which I received at my bridal shower 48 years ago."

"How can I cut down on the sodium...960mg is way too much for this family? It sounds like a great recipe we would like to try. We would use the Heart Smart Bisquik too."

"These muffins are good but were sort of bland so I added 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and it made a difference."

"I love these sortcakes but I use the Low Fat Bisquik mix and they turn out fine. I am not sure why Original mix is specified. I sometimes use a few drops of almond flavoring for a different twist."

It is a very tasty salad and the crunch is great, however it has way more sodium than my family is allowed to consume- -due to the Ramen noodles. Wish there were some other way to make it with less sodium.

It sounds like a good recipe until I read the sodium content. How can 1750mg possibly be Heart Healthy? How can I cut down the sodium content?

This sounds like a wonderful recipe until I read the sodium content. I would never make anything with almost 1600 mg of sodium.
