Giant Honey and Oat Cookies
"These cookies were yummy! I added half the sugar, which really let the taste of the honey shine through. I didn't make these into "giant" cookies, just regular size. Also, since there were so many, after a few days I crumbled up the rest, baked on a cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 350 (stirring at the 10 minute mark) and turned them into granola :) Yum! Oh, and I also skipped the icing- really I didn't feel they needed it. "

Traditional Peanut Butter Truffle Brownies
"Hmmmmm... I was expecting perfection, and I admit I was disappointed. If I tried these again I would add less butter and more peanut buter to the middle layer. It was way too much like butter and not enough like peanut butter. I think with that change they would be super good."

Spicy Pumpkin Cookies
"These cookies were very easy to make but taste very mediocre. I added pecans and and craisins instead of raisins. I guess I don't care for the cakey texture when I'm eating a cookie. I would only make these again if I had pumpkin I needed to use before it went bad. "

Eggplant Parmesan
"This was my first time trying eggplant, and I was NOT impressed...neither were my kids (and I usually like my veggies). The marinara sauce was the only good thing about the recipe. I don't think I will be trying eggplant again for a long time!"

Turkey-Spaetzle Soup
"This was incredibly easy and a yummy soup! I chopped up half a red bell pepper and also put in the leftover creamed corn from Thanksgiving and it was super. I will make this every year with my leftover turkey!"

Fettuccine and Vegetables Parmesan
Rating:
I made this as a mian course, but I think it would have been better as a side dish to chicken, pork, or a ham slice. It was a bit bland for me, so I added some homemade pesto but it still needed a little "oomph." The pros are that it is a fast, healthy meal and good for vegetarian night.

Classic Bisquick® Peach Cobbler
Rating:
The peach cobbler would have been much better except for an error on my part- I added 1 teaspoon of nutmeg instead of 1/2 teaspoon, and it was too strong! I also added 1 tsp cinnamon, and sprinkled the top with pecans. Also, I didn't have enough peaches so I also added frozen strawberries, which was really good!!!!

Home-Style Chicken Dinner
Rating:
I omitted the mushrooms, other than that I followed the recipe. I thought it was good, but a little bland compared to what I usually make. Next time I will add some spices, and as easy as it was to make, trust me when I say there will be a next time!

Monster Cake
Rating:
It looks cool....mine definitely didn't look as nice as the picture but my kids loved it anyway. I ended up throwing most of the cake away though....the bright green icing was cool for halloween but the day after the icing wasn't appealing. This may have been because all the Halloween candy was around, the unappetizing color of the icing, or the slightly off flavor all that food coloring gave the icing.

Bubbling Cauldron Cheese Dip with Bat Wing Dippers
Rating:
It's really nothing special, but the color is great and it looks cool with the "batwings" to go along with it. I saved the recipe to use next Halloween as well, but I might just buy a premade cheese dip and do the same setup for the "spooky" effect.
