Italian Pancake Dunkers
"I have looked at this recipe several times in the past year and have wanted to make them. Today was the day. I had everything in my fridge. I wanted pancakes but I didn't want sweet ones. The only changes I made were to add extra cheese and pepperoni. The result was wonderful. My pancakes were bigger so there were only 20 instead of 40. My husband downed 4 before I finished my first! My kids all enjoyed them as well. We spread the pizza sauce on top as if it were syrup. I highly recommend this recipe for something fun and different!"

Orange Cream Cookies
"These cookies were pretty good. They smelled delicious, but that was because I doubled the amount of extracts so the taste would be more noticable. I am glad I did. There did seem to be an over-abundance of chips for the amount of dough."

Cheesy Italian Beef Bake
"I went to make lasagna last night and noticed I did not have ricotta cheese. So I hopped onto Betty Crocker because I was sure there would be some kind of recipe that would be close to how I make lasagna. I found this recipe and noticed two things in there that my husband hates: cream cheese and sour cream. I decided to take a chance. I just made a change in using mozzarella instead of parmesan and then neufchatel (because of the lesser fat content). My husband was fooled and even all three of my kids gobbled it up! My husband said it was a keeper and just said maybe next time to half the cream cheese and use half ricotta instead. I probably will."

Lemon Creme Bars
"These were excellent! My husbande even enjoyed him and he is more of a salt snacker than a sweet snacker. The filling, which I was afraid might be really sweet, was actually wonderful. The fat free sweetened condensed milk worked wonderfully. I didn't have a fresh lemon, so I used bottled lemon juice and lemon extract in place. I would use at least a teaspoon of the extract. My son and daughter enjoyed them as well. I recommend them highly."

Golden Pound Cake
"This was really good. I don't think I had ever had homemade pound cake before. The only bad thing about it was that the sides and the bottom got a little too dry for my liking."

Creamy Corn and Garlic Risotto
Rating:
I have never tried eating risotto before, let alone cooking it. It was very easy to make and the taste was really good next to barbequed chicken. I did add more garlic than what was called for and I only had dried parsley. This recipe is recommended.

Strawberry and Cream Cupcakes
Rating:
I made these when I had guests over for dinner. Everyone seemed to love them. I probably would have except they were a little too sweet and gave me heartburn (I'm pregnant currently, so anything sweet does). I liked the flavor the cake mix turned into and look forward to soon using Orange soda to make it like a 50/50 bar.

Green Chile Cornbread
Rating:
I guess I am used to regular corn bread. I always make mine with corn in it. The chilies did add a great taste and I will add those to my normal recipe. The density of this bread wasn''t quite right, which is part of the reason I didn''t like it as much.

German Chocolate Bars
Rating:
I made these the other day and after cooling them in the fridge I found that they were really hard to cut. After letting them sit out for awhile it was a lot easier. I took them to a church function and they were gone before I even got to taste one! Everyone said that they were terrific and I''m going to have to believe them.

Deviled Eggs

These were really good although it seemed they were missing something. I put paprika on top and that helped a little, but still missing something.
