"I made this for brunch Christmas morning. It was a good but not as good as some of the casseroles I have made in the past. Typically, I don't have any leftovers but that was not the case this time. I probably will not make this one for my next brunch. Personally, I liked the sweetness of the cranberries but I have to say, I didn't get the raves I am accustomed to on Christmas morning."

"I used a 9 x 13 pan. Instead of raisins, I used dried cranberries and added chopped pecans to the cake batter and to the icing. I also added some freshly grated nutmeg to the batter. My grandmother said to always use a little nutmeg with pumpkin. I was baking something else that called for orange juice so I added a little orange zest to the batter as well. I read other reviews about the cake being too sweet. I think that could be true but I didn't have that problem. My granddaughter was playing in the kitchen while I was mixing the batter. I'm fairly certain I only used 1 1/2 cups of sugar. I lost count and was afraid to add more! The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 is because when it comes to pumpkin, you just can't beat a pumpkin pie. Nothing else compares! This was delicious just the same and I will certainly make it again."
