"I've made this cake since the 60s. Always a success. One thing I usually do differently - substitute peach juice from the can (lite okay) for most of the milk (at least half). Add vanilla to the mixture. Once cake is in the pan, add sliced peaches. Cover with either the topping used here, or just a little brown sugar and cinnamon - either are great."

"I have made this for over 40 years. I have one in the oven right now. I use peach (lite) juice in place of the milk, add peaches and sometimes (now!) blueberries as well. In addition to the vanilla, sometimes I add a tablespoon of (real) maple syrup - adding an equal amount of bisquick, then baking till done. really good in the winter! I also use this as my pineapple upside down cake recipe."
