It makes me so sad to see this website changing, to see the recipes changing to tailor this new lazy America. What happened to family recipes, traditions, simmering meals from scratch? My favorite porcupine ball recipe is from Betty Crocker, just from the 70's. All their recipes are turning south.
1 beaten egg
1 10 ¾ oz can condensed tomato soup
¼ C long grain rice
2 T long grain rice
2 T finely chopped onion
1 T snipped parsley
1lb ground beef
1 t Worcestershire sauce
Combine egg and ¼ C soup. Stir in uncooked rice, onion, parsley, ½ t salt, and 1/8 t pepper. Add beef and mix well. Shape in to 20 small balls, place in 10-inch skillet.
Mix in remaining soup with Worcestershire sauce and ½ C water, pour over meatballs. Bring to boil, reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 35-40 minutes; stir often.

Peppermint Candy Cookies
Just throwing it out there after reading the reviews, I'm pretty sure they used a stencil for the sprinkle design.

Candy Cane Cookies
I made the dough to these cookies last night and tried finishing them today. I thought the peppermint was going to be too strong but quite the contrary, I agree, they were a bit bland.
The dough was also really sticky regardless temperature but I figured out a method to make them work.
Even so, the peppermint/sugar mixture you sprinkle on afterward was kind of a waste seeing as how it didn't really stick which was much of a disappointment. I thought it would have given them more flare as well as more flavor.
They look pretty and I'm sure my receivers will love them, but I'm not Entirely impressed.
