"This is a great recipe. Full of flavor. However, the cake was a bit too sweet. Even more so with the icing. I made this recipe into 24 cupcakes. I added 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and creamed a whole stick of butter for the icing, as suggested from previous reviews. I substituted whole wheat flour instead of white, egg whites instead of whole eggs, and 1 cup of apple sauce instead of vegetable oil. (Make sure it is natural applesauce instead of the one with added sugar. I believe that''s why the cake was too sweet.) I added crushed pecans on top of the iced cupcakes for presentation purposes. It came out super moist and even better overnight in the fridge. Will definitely make again. However, I will cut the 2 cups of sugar to 1 or 1 1/2 cups next time."

"I never knew about "Chili Spaghetti" until I travelled back to my husband''s hometown in the Midwest. My husband loved it and expects me to make more in the future. I added more seasoning and a little bit of Splenda for a sweet touch. Thanks for sharing."
