Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake
"Made this for my dad's birthday and it was a hit! It came out exactly like the photo! This recipe does take a bit more effort to make. It took me a while to cut the butter with the flour and sugar. I used my hands to get it all incorporated. Mixing the batter was the hardest part--the dough is really sticky so be patient. The cake comes out dense which is typical of a coffee cake. I will be making this again and using other flavored preserves. "

Luscious Mandarin Orange Cake
"This cake is very easy to make and delicious! Next time I will slice the mandarin oranges and fold them into the batter. My hand mixer shredded the oranges and I rather have had chunks of oranges to bite into. Enjoy! "

Lemon Burst Cupcakes
"These are perfect if you are a lemon freak like me! I used a lemon cake mix and filled them with lemon curd and topped with white icing. The cake was moist and the curd added the extra lemon kick. I used the end of a wooden spoon to create a pocket for the lemon curd which worked out well. Next time, I will use a white cake mix instead--I like the contrast of the white cake and the yellow lemon curd in the middle. I think adding lemon zest and juice to the white cake mix will bring out the lemon flavor. Either way, this is a great recipe and my guests loved them! "

Fluffy Key Lime Pie (<I>lighter recipe</I>)
"I don't know where I went wrong but my graham cracker crust was too crumbly and the filling wasn't as firm as I'd like but it was tasty. I used bottled lime juice since I couldn't find key lime. "

Piña Colada Cupcakes
"These are fantastic! I made these for the 4th of July and received good reviews. Next time I'll stir the pineapple chunks into the cake batter instead of mixing them with a hand mixer. The hand mixer shredded the pineapple. I much rather fold the pineapple chunks into the already mixed batter so I can taste pineapple in every bite. Enjoy! "

Glazed Almond Sugar Cookies
"These cookies are very easy/quick to make and taste great. They are perfect for those who like soft and chewy cookies rather than crispy cookies. The cookie itself is already sweet so I drizzled the icing instead of frosting the top. I toasted some of the almonds and really couldn't tell the difference between the toasted and non-toasted. Next time I'll skip toasting to save time. Enjoy!"

Thumbprint Cookies
"So good! Double the recipe, one batch isn't enough. I used walnuts and pecans but the walnuts were my favorite and had the best flavor. I used raspberry and blueberry jam--they're a feast for the eyes and tummy! "

Strawberry and Cream Cupcakes
"Very delicious and not your average strawberry tasting cupcake. The soda changes the taste and texture--your guests will never know they started from a box. I made these for a bachelorette party and they were a hit. I used Hansen's Diet Strawberry-Kiwi soda. Will make this again with other soda flavors. Enjoy!"

Maple-Pecan Chicken
"Enjoyed this dish and my picky boyfriend liked it too! I forgot to buy the plain panko bread crumbs and had to use my Italian bread crumbs instead, surprising it came out great! For next time--I'll have the correct panko crumbs and pour all the excess syrup mixture into the baking dish instead of discarding it. The syrup and pecans are what make this chicken so good so next time I'll have the chicken simmer in the syrup."

Chicken Chilaquiles Casserole
"Great recipe! The most time consuming part was shredding the chicken and cooking the tortilla strips but it was worth it and I love how this recipe only has a few ingredients. Will definitely make this one again."

Fudge Marble Pound Cake
"I made this cake for a Halloween party and received good reviews! I followed the recipe exact but baked the cake in 2 round pans and use vanilla pudding as a filling and frosted the cake. I was worried it would be too sweet but my guests loved it! The cake was very moist--try it, you'll like it!"

Spicy Pumpkin Cookies
"Good holiday cookie. I added raisins and walnuts. Make sure to flatten the cookie before baking or they will come out oblong. You'll find that flattening this dough is not easy. Not my favorite cookie to eat but everyone at the my work potluck loved them so I'll make them again."

Lovable Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cookies
"Taste better than making them from scratch not to mention way easier/faster. Didn't roll the dough in sugar since they are already sweet. I make these all the time and no one has ever guessed they are from a mix."

Triple-Chocolate Cherry Bars
"I'm not a big chocolate cake lover but I do love this recipe! Very moist and the cherries and chocolate combo work perfectly. I would consider this a cake recipe rather than bars--I used a bundt pan and it's definitely a cake. Couldn't find the mini chocolate chips so I used the regular size chips and it came out fine. I also added a cup of chopped walnuts to the batter. I didn't frost the cake but next time I will drizzle melted frosting just for looks. Super easy and super good!"

Raspberry Streusel Bars
"Wonderful dessert! Brought these to a gathering and everyone was impressed. I loved how simple the recipe is, only takes a few ingredients. I used raspberry pie filling since I had left overs on hand. It was very sweet so it was perfect for my friends but I will use jam next time since they have different flavors and sugar free options. Enjoy!"

Antipasto Pasta Salad
"Got a lot of compliments on this pasta salad! Made a few changes--I didn't add the peppers for the picky eaters. Instead I added artichokes and used feta cheese instead of parmesan. No matter if you follow the recipe exact or add in your own creation--it's a very good and simple recipe."

Cranberry-Orange Pound Cake
"Very good cake for the holidays! My family didn't believe I made it. I did have a problem with the glaze. It had so much butter in it that I couldn't bring myself to pour it on the cake so I threw it out. Instead I melted frosting in the microwave and drizzled a small amount over the cake. Will definitely make this one again!"

Easy Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
"I made the cake for a BBQ and everyone loved it. I followed someone else's tip and added a splash of the maraschino juice--very good. The only thing I would do differently is to serve the cake the day you make it without putting it in the fridge. The top of the cake had a caramelized crust but when I refrigerated it overnight, the crust was on the mushier side compared to the day I made it. Enjoy, you’ll love it."
