"This is absolutely delicious as is, but I sometimes add some diced deli rotisserie chicken, making this a main-dish light summer meal! I usually double or even triple this recipe because I like it even better the next day when the flavors have combined longer."

"I agree that a recipe review should review the recipe, not the cost & calorie count. However, the cooks that are pricing this recipe at $15 or more don't know where to shop. I never pay more than $0.99 for Betty Crocker brownie mix; store brand cream cheese, condensed milk, eggs, and oil are all much less than name brands with rarely any decrease in quality or flavor. I could easily find these ingredients for $7-9 even without coupons. And the flavor is fabulous, well worth a spot on a special occasion table once or twice a year. And yes, cheesecake is delicious using lowfat cream cheese (Neufchatel) and egg substitute. I also use sugar substitute, one recommended for baking, with excellent results."

"The 5 spoons are for the lime dressing. Yummy!! We don't eat melon, though, so I substituted sliced peeled peaches for the cantaloupe, and sliced peeled kiwi for the honeydew. It was the best! Next time I think I'll use sliced bananas dipped in lemon juice instead of peaches, since peaches and mangoes are fairly similar in color and texture."

"As written, delicious! I prefer to use 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips instead of currants, though. Other pinwheel combinations are: diced ham, cooked broccoli, & cheddar; Pizza sauce, pepperoni, & mozzarella; chopped macadamia nuts & white chocolate chips; apple, blueberry, or other canned fruit filling.... the list is endlessly delicious!!"

"This salad reminds me of the long summers at the beach. Cool, colorful, delicious, just what you want in a light summer meal! It's also great with a nice sesame ginger dressing for a change of pace."

"I loved the flavor of this fruit smoothie, and am delighted that it contains no bananas!! However, I didn't particularly care for the texture. Maybe I'll try it again but blend it longer, maybe that will help. I hope so, because it's soooooo delicious!"

"I loved this recipe! I also used plain corn, as that was what was on hand. Next time I plan to add some sliced black olives and diced fresh tomato to the salsa. I think the salsa is definitely more flavorful if you mix it in advance so the flavors have a chance to mingle. "

"I had to make this with 2 substitutions: I don't "do" carrots, and I don't "do" celery. So I substituted green beans and cream of mushroom soup. Delicious!!!! Fast, easy, a real winner."

"This is a great Yule Log recipe, easy to make and beautiful to present! I do not like vanilla frosting, so I filled mine with sweetened whipped cream with about 1-2 tsp's instant coffee granules added instead of vanilla. I also cut an angled slice off the end and placed it on the side of the cake to resemble a cut branch before frosting with the ganache. It was beautiful! I loved the tip about using the fork to create the "bark" look! "

"I add 1/2 can of pumpkin (not pie filling) to each cake mix, and bake in Bundt pans. I cut the top off each cooled cake to make it even. When placed together on the serving plate, I match the ridges in the cakes for a very realistic looking pumpkin. An ice cream cone for the stem fills the hole. If I have the time and energy, I pipe green or chocolate icing along the grooves of the Bundt cake and fill in with orange icing stars. If it's for Halloween, I outline a face, too, and fill in with yellow icing. It's "boo"-tiful! Lol"

"I added cubed butternut squash and turnips with the carrots: added great flavor! I also used the crock pot with great success. It's also good with hamburger meat in place of the stew meat, just brown it in the dutch oven and drain it before proceding with the recipe, or brown in a skillet if using the crock pot. Yummy with crusty bread and apple cider!"
