"I love anything chocolate and drool over banana bread, but please don't put chocloate chips in my banana bread. I tried this last week with a recipe I found here, baked in a slow cooker. It was horrible!!!! I'll try this one with nuts only."

"Question: Would you still need to spray the cooker AND use the parchment paper over it?"

"I'm using a 1954 BC cookbook for crust..my mom taught me to put sliced Cortland apples in saucepot, add 1 cup sugar and 4 tbsp. cinnamon and cook apples (no water) about 5 minutes until gently softened, stirring constantly. Fill pie crust, dot apples with butter and sprinkle about 10 drops vanilla over them. Wipe top of crust with milk and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon. Pinch edges of crust and cut slits on top. Bake at 425 degrees for about 1/2 hr. Cooking down the apples a bit reduces baking time and you'll never get a hole between your crust and apples. Giussy"
