Spicy Cornmeal Cod
"My husband loved this (he rated it a 4); I thought it was bland (my rating a 2=averaged a 3). I used half corn meal/bread crumb mixture and tried to be generous with the spices due to past reviews here. Still bland. My saving grace was I made tartar sauce with tobasco which gave the fish some zip."

Creamy Ham and Fettuccine
"I would make this again. In fact I AM! I use left over ham (real ham not lunch meat as it looks in the photo), dried pasta, frozen peas (thawed so that they don't add water to the recipe), and a jar of Alfredo Sauce. Warm home made bread sticks...yum!"

Oven-Fried Pork Cutlets with Apple Slaw
"My family loves this, and I love it as it tastes really great and is health. The slaw just added to the meal. the apple makes the slaw something special"

Chocolate Truffle Pie
"This was a waste of chocolate! Came out tasting the eggs but not the chocolate...and it was absolutely solid. You had to chip off the bites in order to eat it. I tossed out the recipe."

Old-Fashioned Baked Beans
"Awful! I made this in the crock pot--I only added 6 cups of water and had the beans floating in liquid after 7 hours of cooking. Too sweet and no sauce...just watery liquid."

Spinach Manicotti
"I would have this again, but would add more garlic and oregano."

Mini Baked Steak Burritos
"Disasterous! Following the directions my tortillas tore and curled. After scraping the stuffing off the pieces of tortilla's, I threw the torn tortilla's away, and made nachos instead. I would also use hamburger rather than steak...you might stand a chance of it fitting into the tortilla!"

Italian Fettuccine Pie
"After I added garlic, 15 oz can of stewed tomatoes and left out the tom sauce it was decent. But at the table we all felt it needed seasoning in the cooking--like salt? Duh...I should have noticed."

Turkey, Bacon and Guacamole Wraps
"Make SURE your avacado is ripe enough to smash...mine was hard as a rock and therefore ripped the tortilla. All the stuffing went out the far side of the rolled tortilla. I did not take it to my pot luck--but was great in a sandwich."

Berry Cheesecake in Chocolate Crust
"Great flavor; but ended up using plain old graham cracker crumbs...good luck finding chocolate crumbs or chocolate wafers to smash up!"

Sweet-and-Sour Pork
"My husband was grousing about having a pork roast for dinner...I found this recipe to use up the roast. FANTASTIC! We loved this and will have it again. No substitutions necessary. Prep was easy, the toughest part was dealing with the batter and meat and not making a mess in the kitchen. Go for it! Yum..."
