Tortilla Soup
"This was amazing! I did make some changes - I used crumbled tortilla chips instead of making my own; used 2 cartons chicken broth instead of 1; used 3 cups shredded chicken; added 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained; added 1 bag frozen corn; added cumin, onion powder, and garlic powder to taste; and used dried jalapeno pepper instead of fresh to taste. Definitely a keeper for the winter."

Tiramisu Cheesecake Bars
"These were great! I used pre-made sugar cookie dough because I was pressed for time and I used the rest of the mini-chips on top instead of chocolate shavings. Even people who didn't like cheesecake or tiramisu liked these."

Lemon-Raspberry Cream Bars
"These were pretty good - I used a whole jar of raspberry preserves because the 3/4 cup didn't seem to be enough. Definitely easy to make."

Bananaberry Bread
"I used frozen berries - just quickly thawed them in water - and they didn't sink to the bottom (maybe I was just lucky!) This was really good - even my picky toddler liked it."

Guacamole
"I have tried so many different guacamole recipes and this is by far the best. The only "problem" I found is that if you double the recipe, the garlic seemed to take over as the predominant flavor, at least for my taste. I only use 1 clove and double the rest of the ingredients ad it turns out great."

Down-Home Layered Dip
"WOW, this was good. I made it as an appetizer for Thanksgiving dinner and people were fighting for the last bit. It makes a nice change from a Mexican dip - similar flavors, but the barbecued pork/chicken really adds something different."
