Gluten Intolerance
"Bisquick maybe out but Betty Crocker hasĀ 4 new mixes that are gluten-free. Brownies, Chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake and yellow cake. They just came out this week. Check your local stores. Alos gluten-free foods maybe more expensive but the cost"

"For Xanthan Gum equal amounts of unflavored gelatin like Knox brand or 1/2 the amount of pectin used for making jams and jellies. Tapioca starch subs corn starch, potato starch, or arrowroot starch (maybe labeled flour, powder or plain arrowroot)."

"Forever_Young as soem others have said Spelt is NOT gluten-free. Spelt is a type of wheat not a grass. May I ask who told you that it was okay for your husband to eat spelt? With training in Dietetics and gluten-free for 15 years I always wonder where"

"Since the label law changes in 2004 the label must state if an ingredient is from wheat unless it says otherwise than modified food starch must be from corn so it's safe but natural flavors can be anything from wheat to msg. Check with the company;"
