OMG Mattgg does that mean you expect the bowl and the fruit to be included when you buy a box of cereal? Or the syrup and fruit to be included when you buy pancake mix.....common sense here please.

I am a beginner trying to learn how to bake. Is there anything better to start out with than ready-to-use cake mixes, and, better yet, one that carries Betty Crocker brand. However, I do have one question, if I were to use a hand mixer instead of a electric one as instructed on the packaging, what kind of consistency we are trying to achieve here when mixing the cake mixe, water, oil, and eggs? This is totally my go-to mix for chocolate cakes - and there are so many ways to dress it up! It's a hit every time. I have a hard time believing that the review from "mattgg" is a real one - who actually assumes that a box would contain the eggs, oil, and frosting necessary to make a cake?

The first time I excitedly bought this cake mix, I rushed home to bake the very first thing in our brand-new oven only to discover the amazing picture on the front was not possible with what I bought and that the packet contents only contained the cake mix. Could you please consider those that do not know your product and state clearly on the front that this box only contains half the cake and that you need to buy more things to make a cake that the product advertises? Frustrating! Now I have to go in search of the frosting/icing to complete the job.
