Love this cake mix! I make cookies with the mix and add 2 large eggs and 1/3 cup canola oil to the dry mix. Sometimes I add chocolate chips, (and,or) butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, toffee chips and a few chopped pecans. Every one who eats them thinks they are made from scratch.

this is the BEST mix ever . . . we used the butter pecan rum cake recipe that's on the box and it's become a family favorite. Moist and delicious!

Great variation. Start with BC butter pecan mix. Add additional egg, increase oil to 3/4, cup of water as directed, then add a can of coconut pecan frosting into the batter. I also add an additional cup of pecans (this is optional). Mix and bake. You can bake in aluminum pan for gift giving or traveling. Great moist cake for the holidays! Doesn't need additional frosting.

I must say that I was kinda disappointed in this mix. Wasn't very happy that my cupcakes turned out to taste like maple pancakes. I didnt taste any "pecan" flavor. Although the flavor wasnt up to par.. The cake was light and fluffy and made perfect cupcakes.

this mix makes the best cupcakes. it tastes kinda like pancakes. i'm gonna try to come up with a cupcake with bacon on it.
