I love this salad, bacon and ranch, the best. It's good hot with added ground turkey or chicken, red peppers, peas and onions. That is how I like it. I am the only one in my family who eats these salads, but that is okay with me because I get to eat the whole box myself ha ha

I have made this countless times and variations BUT only cook the pasta for 9 minutes...al dente ... at 12 minutes it is "mushy". I add the extra peas and julienne carrots at about the 6 minute mark. Everything then has "bite" to it.

I had bought a box of this about a week ago and tried it out today, and I didn't like it at all. The smell of the mayonnaise + the spice itself made me want to vomit. And the crunchy bacon inside of it had disgusted me. Never again. The original (Suddenly Salad) is so much better.

A girlfriend introduced this salad to me. My sister-in-law & I have incorporated some great add-ins. Try southwest flavored chicken stips (cut into chunks), ranch dressing, black & green olives (sliced), real bacon bits and diced red onion. This is a great cold pasta. We love it!

Ok... so I'm definitely the odd ball of the group here... but I didn't really like this. The flavor was really good and I added chopped, grilled chicken but the bacon bits were so very gross. Every single bite I took had a crunchy gross chip in it. I was grossed out by it. It was very disappointing because the flavor & pasta was so very good. Is there a version of this without the yucky bacon bits??? If so I would love to try that instead!!

My friend makes this salad, but adds real ranch dressing, real bacon bits, tomato, and cucumber. It is the best pasta salad I have ever tasted. Please keep it on the shelf!!!

In a restuarant I had a Portland Pasta Salad. It sometimes had bacon or ham, peas, carrots and cucumbers and you had your choice of ranch or creamy Italian dressing. I could never find a recipe for anything like it. Then I saw your Ranch & Bacon. I added more peas and julienned carrots to pasta water, added the cucumbers... took to work for a function and they went crazy over it, wanted to know the "crunch", which was the fresh cucumber. It was gone in a lick and I made 3 batches. Keep the couupons coming as I keep these in the house all the time.

I love this pasta. I recommend that you add tunna (in oil) make your tuna (onions, greenbell pepper, salt, pepper, a little sweet relish) then add it to the pasta adding your mayo last...If you want a little extra ZING try a little italian dressing.
