I've never had an issue with any of the Betty Crocker pouch potatoes. I didn't find them pasty or gloppy. They may appear that way when you first start to stir them after lettting the flakes soak in but they firm up quite nice in my opinion. The flavor is good and I didn't find it overwhelming myself. That might be a matter of taste though.

I was SOOOoooo disappointed with this product since I love Betty Crocker and have since....well....A LONG, Long time. These were just terrible. They were pasty and gloppy....more like library paste than anything. I really had high hopes but these were a dismal failure. So sorry.

These instant potatoes rock! The other reviewer (Kalani) is an IDIOT! THe garlic MAKES these spuds what they are....nuf said.
