All-Purpose Unbleached Flour

Gold Medal Unbleached Flour
Our unbleached flour provides the same great results as all-purpose flour does. It is slightly less white than bleached flour, so baked goods such as white bread will have a subtle creamy color but will have the same great taste.

Yes, the bag is unusable for storage after opening, but I have always stored my flour in a Tupperware container to keep it fresh. You can also use a glass jar with a snap on lid. If you don't go through it very quickly this will keep it fresh & insect-free.

We use this flour exclusively and find it to be excellent in every respect. Unfortunately, we cannot open the bag without ripping it to the point where it is all but useless for storing what's left over after the first use. Are we the only ones having this frustrating problem? Letters to General Mills have only resulted in patronizing comments like, "We're glad you like our products." There's got to be a better way!

This is my favorite flour. I use a whole grain white flour for some things but biscuits, pie crust, bread, and other baked goods that need to be light and fluffy always come out best with Gold Medal Unbleached All-Purpose Flour.
