These are honestly the worst cookies I have ever had. I signed up for this for the sole purpose of telling everybody how horrible they are. They look good - they taste terrible. Who would have thought! Try again, Betty.

I just fixed the Reese's Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chunk cookies for my 3 grandchildren. Sorry but they had an awful taste. I thought maybe rancid or something and looked at the expiration date which was March 2015. Something went wrong in the manufacturing process. No one wanted to eat them.

These cookies were awful. I very rarely write reviews for things but there is something seriously wrong with this. They tasted like vomit and made my house smell like vomit while they baked. I threw them right in the trash because the taste and smell just made me gag. Do not buy these cookies. Ever.

I am SO disappointed. I love Reeses most of the time, and have never had an issue with any of Betty Crocker's products either. This cookie mix made me want to wash my mouth out with soap. Soap would taste better in comparison. I bought it without reading any of the reviews because usually I just buy and bake. Maybe that's because I've never had an issue like this before.....but I read some of the other reviews about this product and I cannot agree more! THIS STUFF TASTES LIKE VOMIT. It really does. To the point it made my stomach hurt. Please listen to the reviews and warnings-it really does taste awful. I hope someone in the company realizes that something is wrong here.

I wrote a very useful, honest review but unfortunately, the website said they had an "error". This does not make me any happier re-writing a review for a bad product. I agree with most here...these cookies have a chemical smell and taste. Please Betty Crocker, preserve your good name by looking into this inferior product. I'm just praying now that my family does not get sick from these cookies!

These were the worst cookies I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. Like other reviews here, I thought they smelled and tasted awful. My husband and cousin thought they tasted like chemicals or plastic, but I agree with the one poster to actually say they tasted like vomit. They really tasted like someone had gotten sick right into the batch before they shipped 'em off. DO NOT PURCHASE. I do feel the need to say, I usually love Reese's and Betty Crocker products and have never experienced this with either company.

I made these cookies for my family tonight and experienced the same burning plastic/chemical smell and taste. I thought it was a mistake on my part until I read these reviews. Very disappointed with Betty Crocker continuing to sell this product knowing the problems with it :(

I am canadian but bought these cookies in the US on a recent holiday. These cookies were absolutely terrible. In fact while they were cooking I had my mom come to my house, and check the kitchen out because it smelled like burning plastic!! Once they were finished I gave one to everyone in my family. They tasted instantly of something rancid and burning plastic. I felt terrible thinking I had poisoned my whole family. I called the company after I looked the product up and was relieve I was not the only one who felt that these cookies were heinous. The lady on the phone said they never had a complaint about this product yet but "nothing in there can kill me" which alleviated my fears a little but. What a seriously disappointing product. I think I'll buy pilsbury and put peanut butter cups in those instead!

I bought two of these boxes. One night I tried it with oil and water, like it said on the box, instead of butter. The cookies came out absolutely disgusting. It tasted like chemicals and rotten eggs. I spit the cookies out and thought it was because I used oil. Then today i made it with butter and water and it still tasted the same! I was looking forward to making the cookies. They are so disgusting I can't believe they are for sale. I will never be buying this again.
