My 10yr old g'daughter made these yesterday while I listened to her read the directions and watched her put it together. The eating came after our bar-b-cue. We are a "lemon lovin' family' and these bars did NOT disappoint. The is, by far, the finest "BOX" mix dessert I have ever had. I believe someone would never guess these bars came from a box mix. Lemony good and excellent crust without any taste of typical cardboardy mixes. Good job, Betty Crocker.

I thought it was 1/2 cup water, it looked kind of soupy, so I put on my glasses to reread the back of the box. It says 1/3 cup water. I could read everything except the 1/3 on the back of this xxx box, it needs to be bigger than magnifying glass big. What do suggest I do with this more water than needed mix?

I made these for the 4th of July. I was looking for a dessert that would be light after a heavy meal. These bars were a hit! I was asked for the recipe. I didn't want to let on that the dessert was from a mix. I added some chopped almonds & walnuts to the shortbread cookie base & orange, lemon, & lime zest to the filling. A definite keeper!

These Lemon Bars are so good! They taste just like the ones I would make out of my moms cookbook when I was a kid, but a lot easier!!

Your instructions say to use ungreased pan......I did and it was a disaster....crust could not be removed. We ate filling with a spoon. Filling was delicious. It took 2 days of soaking to get the crust out after a pie server and sharp knife failed. I bake desserts often and tried you new mix but should have followed my own sense to grease all pans first....
