Snow Season Party Tips for Home or Away

Last- Minute Prep

  • Make Baked Apple-Raisin Oatmeal.
  • Make Maple-Nut Scones.
  • Remember to increase oven to 400°F when baking scones (unless you’ve two ovens)!

  • Make Hot Buttered Chex® Mix, following recipe’s Do-Ahead Tip.

Day Before

  • Make Nanaimo Cookie Bars, store covered in fridge.

Last- Minute Prep

Après Ski

Several Days Ahead

  • Decide before grocery shopping whether to make Vegetable Chowder in Bread Bowls or recipe variation, Salmon Vegetable Chowder in Bread Bowls.

Day Before

  • Make Hot Crab Crostini, using recipe’s Do-Ahead Tip.
  • Make Ultimate Turtle Cookie Bars; store covered at room temperature.

Last- Minute Prep

  • Assemble and bake Hot Crab Crostini.
  • Finish preparing and serve Hot Buttered Rum.
  • Make selected chowder.
