Ready to throw the Game Day Party of the year? Planning a big ol’ blowout doesn't have to be stressful, expensive or time consuming. With a few basic tips, tricks and recipes, you're just minutes away from having the go-to house for entertaining.
So pull together a great guest list, smear on some face paint and cheer on your team in serious style!
Stadium Seating. One of the best ways to keep your entertaining worry-free is to prepare your party space ahead of time. How many guests are you inviting? Gather a good head count, and make sure there's ample seating for everyone. Bring in bean bag chairs and clear out pillows. There's nothing more inviting than a room where space has been set aside for the entire crew. Try to gather your furniture together if you'll be partying in a large space. You want to create a cozy atmosphere to encourage the warmth of team spirit. Arranging your room with space for all will get your party off to the perfect start.
Team Colors. Decorate your party room with this simple trick: cut colorful pennants from pieces of construction paper. Use clothespins to hang the paper flags from a piece of yarn strung across your room. Voila! You've got an inexpensive, festive team banner made in just minutes.
Crowd Control. Don't get stuck in the kitchen on game day...plan a potluck! Inviting guests to tote along a treat will cut down on your costs and prep work, while offering friends a chance to contribute some of their favorite eats to your event. And if everyone brings a dish to pass, you're sure to have more than enough food to feed the masses.
Fire It Up. Prepare your party area by setting out everything you'll need in advance. Make sure you have enough paper plates, cups and utensils to feed a crowd. Did you remember a bag of ice? And don't forget to provide plenty of napkins for your partygoers, who will most certainly be eating your favorite game day snacks!
