Q: So, what are your top 5 guilt-free eating pleasures?

Hungry Girl:

1. I LOVE my faux-fried items that use Fiber One breadcrumbs instead of regular ones—and, of course, everything is baked not fried!

2. Tofu shirataki noodles are just like pasta—so now I can enjoy "pasta" anytime I want it!

3. Laughing Cow Light cheese wedges are a magical ingredient in any dish you want to make creamy or cheesy. So awesome!

4. Vitalicious Vitatops satisfy any chocolate craving you have for only 100 calories—and they are all natural and full of fiber!

5. I'm not big on bread these days— instead I wrap anything and everything in high- fiber, low-calorie tortillas. Yum!

Q: How do you explain your ideas of eating healthy?

Hungry Girl: Hungry Girl is more about guilt-free eating than straight up health because I'm just a regular person trying to make smarter choices. I think that's why people relate to it—it's about surviving in the real world, finding foods on the shelves of your local market, and eating delicious foods you want to eat besides just celery sticks (no offense to the celery!).

Q: It sounds like you travel a lot. How do you eat healthy on the road?

Hungry Girl: I always carry emergency snacks with me. That is key. And I don't use travel as an excuse to make bad choices when it comes to eating. I can pretty much find something HG-friendly to order at any restaurant!

Q: What are three ingredients you couldn't live without?

Hungry Girl: Unsweetened almond milk, egg substitute and light cheese wedges.

Q: How do you handle cravings?

Hungry Girl: I eat food! I usually eat some sort of guilt-free swap for whatever I'm craving. For example, if I'm craving xx, I'll snack on xxx.

Q: What's your favorite guilty pleasure?

Hungry Girl: French Fries.

Q: The Hungry Girl "cake in a mug" idea is so fun!. Where did it come from?

Hungry Girl: Thanks! It was probably partly inspired by those single-serving Betty Crocker cake desserts. I thought, "Why not make a guilt-free version?!" I have a few different recipes for cake mugs!

Hungry Girl's Top Tips for Guilt-Free Cooking

• Use nonstick cooking spray instead of oil
• Use a little fat-free nondairy creamer instead of cream
• Stick with lean cuts of meat--filet when it comes to beef, white-meat turkey or chicken breast and pork tenderloin
• Bake, don't fry!
