In my family we spend New Year’s Day watching bowl games. This year, I’m serving a burger inspired by one of my family’s favorite comfort foods -- the chili cheese steak. This killer game day burger is served on a buttery biscuit and then covered with warm chili and sharp cheddar cheese sauce.

To get started you’re going to need to make chili (I like this Slow Cooker Cincinnati Chili). Next, make some buttery Bisquick® Rolled Biscuits—this meal idea is a great way to use up leftover chili and biscuits! Then, grill your burger patties and make the quick and easy cheese sauce. Now that all of your ingredients are prepped you’re ready for some burger building. Warning, it’s going to get a bit messy!

Slice your biscuits in half, but be careful of the crumble (a really good biscuit is going to be a little crumbly). Place a burger patty on one half of the biscuit, then cover with warm chili.

Next, spoon the creamy cheese sauce over the chili. I recommend doing this on a plate or maybe even in a pasta bowl, it is deliciously messy.

Finally, top off your burger with either crispy onion rings or corn chips and then cover with the other half of the buttery biscuit. YUM!
