Nacho Tacos

There used to be a restaurant in the town that I am from that had the best nachos.  It was at the mall, across from the theaters, and I remember it being a treat when we could go to a movie and then head over to share a big plate of loaded nachos.  And as I got older, it was always where my sisters, mom and I would go for some girl time together.

The plate of nachos was huge.  And it was loaded.  Lots of seasoned beef, cheese, and of course, all the good stuff – sour cream, avocados, tomatoes and lettuce.  We would order one of them between 3 or 4 of us and have a hard time getting through that plate.

Unfortunately, I moved away from home, and the restaurant closed, but every once in awhile, I get a craving for some of those nachos.  And while I will still indulge in a big plate of nachos every now and again, they simply aren’t the most ideal dinner idea for my young family. So what to do when you are craving those nacho flavors, but want to make them a little more family friendly?  Make them into tacos!

These tacos couldn’t be any simpler.  They are only one step more than making regular beef tacos – and all that step is is adding in a can of nacho cheese condensed soup.  This gives you all the flavors of nachos, wrapped up in a taco shell!

You will need ground beef, taco seasoning, nacho cheese condensed soup, taco shells, and any toppings you would like.  I went with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and avocado.  I kept wishing that I would have added some pickled jalapenos, though!

Cook up your ground beef and season it with the taco seasoning according to the package directions.

Add in the nacho cheese condensed soup.

Stir it in and let it heat through.

Fill your taco shells and top them with your favorite nacho toppings for all the flavors of nachos inside a taco shell!
