Delicious dinners don’t have to be complicated. Case in point? This fresh-tasting pasta dinner, ready in 25 minutes flat.

True story: This is my favorite easy weeknight dinner. I love that it comes together in less than 30 minutes and calls for just five ingredients, most of which are pantry staples. It’s an ideal meal to make when ingredients like tomatoes and basil are peaking. But perhaps the best thing is, everyone in my family loves this dish! Needless to say, it’s been in our weekly rotation for months now, and I’m so excited to show you how to make it today.

To start, gather your ingredients, several of which you probably already have on hand! You’ll need grape or cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, Progresso Italian style bread crumbs and spaghetti.

Begin by chopping the tomatoes, basil and garlic. Add them to a medium-sized, oven-proof baking dish along with some olive oil, salt and pepper.

Broil the tomatoes until they start to soften and the juices are bubbling, about 10 minutes. Remove them from the oven and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Broil for a minute or so more until bread crumbs are golden and toasted.

Meanwhile, boil the spaghetti until al dente.

When the noodles are done, dump them onto a serving platter (or individual serving plates) and top with the roasted tomatoes and crumb mixture. Pass around grated parmesan cheese, if you like, or add more fresh basil. You won’t believe how fast your family’s plates will be cleared!
