  Arugula

Also called rocket, arugula has small, slender, dark green leaves similar to radish leaves and a slightly bitter, peppery mustard flavor. Choose smaller leaves for a less-distinctive flavor.

How to Buy

Buy arugula that has fresh, bright green leaves.

How to Store

Wrap tightly in a plastic bag and refrigerate for no more than 2 days. Thoroughly wash the leaves, which can be very gritty, just before using.
