Ruler
A smooth-edged strip about 1 inch wide, marked off in units (inches and/or millimeters) used for measuring. Good lengths to keep in the kitchen are 6, 12 and 18 inches.
Tips When rolling sugar cookies, the Betty Crocker Kitchens staff uses two 18-inch rulers to help keep the dough even in thickness. Place one on each side of the dough when rolling.
