Can baked bierocks be frozen and then reheated?

Asked on 8/8/2013 12:00:00 AM by cestenz

Bierocks (meat-filled flaky pastries) can be made ahead and then reheated for serving. Here are the details: Bake as directed, let cool completely, then wrap thoroughly. If tightly sealed, they can be stored in the freezer 2 to 3 months. To thaw, unwrap and heat at 325°F for 15 minutes, depending on the filling and the size, until thoroughly heated. Here's a few more of Betty's Tips for Freezing and Reheating Food. Remember that food can only be held safely for two hours so don't get too far ahead in your reheating. Have you considered selling the bierocks frozen? Load up some ice-packed coolers and watch them go. Good luck with your fund raiser!
