Plan Ahead
A Few Days Before
- Make Mocha Streusel Coffee Cake (if served), using recipes Do-Ahead Tip. Cool; wrap tightly in foil and freeze.
- Bake angel food cake for Key Lime Coconut Angel Cake (if served). Cool; wrap tightly in foil and freeze.
- Make Ginger-Rice Crunch; store in airtight container.
The Day Before
- Mix cranberry juice cocktail and limeade concentrate for Cranberry Limeade (if served); store in refrigerator. Chill bottles of sparkling water. Or chill juice and champagne for Mimosas (if served).
- Prepare ingredients (except tomatoes) used in step 1 of Cheesy Sausage and Egg Bake (if served); layer in baking dish. Cover and refrigerate.
- Prepare Hearty Breakfast Bake (if served), following recipe’s Do-Ahead Tip.
- Peel and section grapefruit, make vinaigrette and prep other salad ingredients for Tossed Greens with Grapefruit Vinaigrette (if served); store in separate containers in refrigerator.
- Peel and section oranges for Minted Fruit Salad (if served); store in refrigerator.
- Bake Chocolate-Cinnamon Cake Roll (if served).
- Thaw Mocha Streusel Coffee Cake and angel food cake.
About Two Hours Before
- Make Danish Apple-Almond Cake (if served).
- Finish preparation of Key Lime Coconut Angel Cake.
About One Hour Before
- Finish making and bake Cheesy Sausage and Egg Bake. (Don’t forget tomatoes!)
- Bake Hearty Breakfast Bake.
As Guests Arrive
- Prepare and serve Mimosas or Cranberry Limeade.
About 30 Minutes Before Serving
- Finish preparing Minted Fruit Salad.
Just Before Serving
- Finish making Tossed Greens with Grapefruit Vinaigrette; toss.
After the Main Course
- Prepare coffee or tea (if served).
- Serve Key Lime Coconut Angel Cake or Chocolate-Cinnamon Cake Roll.
