I wish to have a shopping spree

Often, being treated for a brain tumor dominates much of Ciara’s life. That means she gets less time to enjoy the carefree fun that most children her age take for granted. But the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® and Betty Crocker^® helped Ciara celebrate her 4th birthday in a way that brought some of that missing joy back into her life.

Ciara asked her volunteer wish granters for a shopping spree. They planned an amazing day that started with a limousine ride to her favorite local mall. There, Make-A-Wish^® volunteers presented Ciara with a special new baby doll to play with and love. Ciara had lunch with her family and then visited all her favorite stores. She tried on everything from shiny white dress shoes to puffy winter coats and boots, and loved showing off her new wardrobe as her family snapped photos.

Ciara’s family said the smile on her face throughout the day was contagious – and that Ciara couldn’t have had a happier 4th birthday celebration.
