I wish to go to LEGOLAND^®

Seven-year-old Joey is a LEGO® fanatic who loves to use his LEGO toys to build dream worlds – spaceships, pirate ships, race tracks. You name it, Joey has built it. For Joey, who lives with a rare congenital heart disease called hypoplastic left heart syndrome, the LEGO toys offer a welcome escape from the reality of doctor visits. When Betty Crocker® and the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Michigan asked Joey what his most heartfelt wish was, he knew in an instant that he wanted to go to LEGOLAND in San Diego.

Make-A-Wish® volunteers started planning his fun-filled trip right away, and Joey and his family had a packed trip from the moment they landed. After settling in to their hotel with a huge pool, they spent an entire day at the San Diego Zoo, where Joey got to see some of his favorite animals, including the elephants. They also visited the beautiful parks, beaches and museums in the area. On the day before the trip ended, Joey and his family went to LEGOLAND. Joey couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw all the rides and attractions made out of LEGO products.

Joey and his family will always remember their trip and the happy expression that was on Joey’s face throughout the entire wish experience.
